Halloween 2011

Ward Halloween Party

Ben's plane was majorly delayed. He was suppose to be back at 3:30 pm in time for Trunk or Treating but then his plane was delayed until 7:10pm. We decided it would just be best if I took the kids to the Trunk or Treating and then pick up Benjamin. It was a long night.

I got the kids all dressed and ready for the Halloween ward party. They looked so cute. Entegra was a mermaid this year, Inara was a pirate princess, and Bracken was a dinosaur. Again with the super cuteness that they are.

So, we went to the Church Halloween Party and set the rolls, we signed up for, next to the 4 other bags of Costco rolls. :) We enjoyed the various chilies and the girls did a cake walk. Entegra won a candied apple, and Inara a cupcake. We visited with some friends and then it was time for the Trunk or Treating!

We set up our trunk and went about our treating. Inara was so cute. She would say, “Trick or Treat,” in the sweetest voice. She was ecstatic when she got her first couple candies. Entegra and Inara had a great time!

When we were done with our Trunk or Treating, we went to the airport and picked up Benjamin and we were very happy to see him!

Halloween Night

OooooOOoooOoOo. Today is Halloween (well, it was when I started writing this). Inara has worn her costume to all the stores and Entegra was allowed to wear hers to school.

We carved our pumpkins yesterday. Entegra scooped out all her pumpkin guts by herself. Inara did a little bit but then called it quits. I carved Entegra's pumpkin for her and Benjamin did Inara's. I accidentally ripped the top off Entegra's while trying to move it. Oh well, I put it back together like a puzzle and it works just fine.

We've gone and done our Trick or Treating. The girls had a great time. We left about 6:45pm, and we should have left earlier. It got dark and cold really fast. Bracken was shivering when we got home and he was probably the warmest dressed of us all.  This was our first Halloween in our new neighborhood and it was pretty good.  Everyone seemed to be handing out skittles this year.  We were able to meet some of our neighbors that have kids the same age and just say "hi" to others that we hadn't met before.  The kid's buckets were very heavy and the kids are slowly working their way through them.  (I've Mommy Taxed their Butterfingers to the point of extinction.)

All in all, they had a good and fun time!
